Labelled (2-Chloroethyl)phosphonic acid. (2-Chloroethyl)phosphonic acid (Ethephon) is the most widely used plant growth regulator. Ethephon is often used on wheat, coffee, tobacco, cotton, and rice in order to help the plants fruit reach maturity more quickly.
