An aminophenylthiazole that acts as an inhibitor of TMEM16A channel, a calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC) (IC50=1.1uM). Fully blocks CaCC current in salivary gland cells at 10uM, but has very little effect in airway and intestinal cells, which is consistent with the observation of RNAi knock-down. Completely blocks chloride currents produced by TMEM16A Activator, Eact at 10uM. In addition, shown to block calcium-activated chloride channels in vascular smooth muscle cells, and relaxes murine and human blood vessels. Formula: C19H20N4O3S2 Molecular Weight: 416.5 Solubility: DMSO (100mg/ml, clear, colorless solution) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
