Influenza virus B is a genus in the virus family Orthomyxoviridae. A limited host range means that Influenza virus B pandemics are rare. The nucleoprotein protects the negative strand viral RNA from nucleases by encapsidating it. Encapsidated genomic RNA is termed the ribonucleoprotein (RNP) and serves as template for transcription and replication. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: P3X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
