This gene encodes a cytokine of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. The encoded protein functions in T cell antigen-presenting cell (APC) interactions and mediates adhesion of activated T cells to endothelial cells. Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with Sjogrens syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa51-183 from human OX40L, fused to His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in a HEK293 cell expression system. Molecular Weight: ~18kD, runs at a higher MW by SDS-PAGE due to glycosylation Endotoxin: <1EU/ug Applications: Suitable for use in studying protein binding and for screening small molecules and antibodies. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
