Product Description

Receptor for ghrelin, coupled to G-alpha-11 proteins. Stimulates growth hormone secretion. Binds also other growth hormone releasing peptides (GHRP) (e.g. Met-enkephalin and GHRP-6) as well as non-peptide, low molecular weight secretagogues (e.g. L-692,429, MK-0677, adenosine). Source: aa245-289, Human Molecular Weight: ~4685.54 Solubility: Insoluble in water. Dissolve peptide in a small amount of Acetonitrile (or suitable solvent), then dilute with desired buffer. Sequence: Gly-Asp-Ala-Val-Val-Gly-Ala-Ser-Leu-Arg-Asp-Gln-Asn-His-Lys-Gln-Thr-Val-Lys-Met-Leu-Gly-Gly-Ser-Gln-Arg-Ala-Leu-Arg-Leu-Ser-Leu-Ala-Gly-Pro-Ile-Leu-Ser-Leu-Cys-Leu-Leu-Pro-Ser-Leu Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
