Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-315 from human EIF2S1 expressed in E. coli.
Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2, subunit 1 alpha (EIF2S1) is plays a central role in initiating translation, and provides for a rate-limiting step in protein synthesis. The phosphorylation of alpha-subunit of EIF2S1 effectively prevents formation of the EIF2S1/GTP/ Met-tRNAi complex and inhibits global protein synthesis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: FO myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
