Podoplanin(PDPN) is a small mucin-like transmembrane protein, widely expressed in various specialized cell types throughout the body. This is a type-I integral membrane glycoprotein with diverse distribution in human tissues. The physiological function of this protein may be related to its mucin-type character. The homologous protein in other species has been described as a differentiation antigen and influenza-virus receptor. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa99-207 of human PDPN, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~13.4kD Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
