Product Description

Sample Type: Serum, plasma Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of guinea pig thyroxine (T4) concentrations in serum and plasma. Sensitivity: 10ng/ml Range: 20-320ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of guinea pig T4. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between guinea pig T4 and analogues was observed. Intended Use: This BioAssay(TM) employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to T4. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Biotin-conjugated T4. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between T4 (Standards or samples) and Biotin-conjugated T4 with the pre-coated antibody specific for T4. The more amount of T4 in samples, the less antibody bound by Biotin-conjugated T4. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of T4 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Store other components at 4C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
