ADROPIN is a recently identified protein that has been implicated in the maintenance of energy homeostasis and insulin resistance (1-3). ADROPIN expression is regulated by energy status and dietary nutrient content and is altered by obesity and regulates the expression of hepatic lipogenic genes and adipose tissue peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-gamma) (1). ADROPIN levels increase with dietary fat content (2). ADROPIN has also been proposed to play a role in the regulation of endothelial function (3). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 20ug/ml Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human Brain Tissue Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
