ACPP, also known as prostatic acid phosphatase isoform PAP, is a type I integral membrane protein of the plasma membrane and lysosomes, and a secreted form also exists. The concentration of ACPP is elevated in the circulation of prostate cancer patients, making the enzyme a marker for the progression of prostate cancer. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa33-386 from human ACPP, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~41.8kD (360aa) 40-57KD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions) Endotoxin: ~1EU/1ug (LAL) Specific Activity: >100,000units/mg, and is defined as the amount of enzyme that hydrolyze 1nmoles of p-nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP)/minute at pH 5.0 at 37C. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
