B3GNT2, also known as N-acetyllactosaminide beta-1,3-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 2, belongs to the beta-1,3-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase family. It is a type II transmembrane protein which prefers the substrate of lacto-N-neotetraose. It catalyzes the initiation and elongation of poly-N- acetyllactosamine chains. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa29-397 from human B3GNT2, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~43.5kD (375aa) 40-57kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions) Endotoxin: ~1EU/1ug (LAL) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
