Epha4, as known as ephrin type-A receptor 4, is a single-pass type 1 membrane protein which belongs to the protein kinase superfamily and ephrin receptor subfamily. This protein may play a role in a signal transduction process involved in hindbrain pattern formation. The ephrins and ephrin receptors comprise the largest subfamily of receptor protein-tyrosine kinases and have been implicated in mediating developmental events, especially in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa20-547 from mouse Epha4, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~59.3kD (536aa) 50-70kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
