Component of triglyceride-rich very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) and high density lipoproteins (HDL) in plasma. Plays a multifaceted role in triglyceride homeostasis. Intracellularly, promotes hepatic very low density lipoprotein 1 (VLDL1) assembly and secretion, Extracellular domainly, attenuates hydrolysis and clearance of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRLs). Impairs the lipolysis of TRLs by inhibiting lipoprotein lipase and the hepatic uptake of TRLs by remnant receptors. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa21-99 from mouse Apoc3, fused to His-SUMO-Tag at 6xN-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~24.9kD Amino Acid Sequence: EEVEGSLLLGSVQGYMEQASKTVQDALSSVQESDIAVVARGWMDNHFRFLKGYWSKFTDKFTGFWDSNPEDQPTPAIES Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
