IL-8 is a chemotactic factor that attracts neutrophils, basophils, and T-cells, but not monocytes. It is also involved in neutrophil activation. It is released from several cell types in response to an inflammatory stimulus. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa23-101 from canine Interleukin-8, fused to His-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in Yeast. Molecular Weight: ~11.1kD Amino Acid Sequence: AVLSRVSSELRCQCIKTHSTPFHPKYIKELRVIDSGPHCENSEIIVKLFNGNEVCLDPKEKWVQKVVQIFLKKAEKQDP Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
