This protein is lethal to sensitive cells of the same or related species. The KP6 alpha subunit is known to recognize some cellular receptors before interaction of the complex with KP6 beta, precipitating cell death. Source: Partial recombinant protein corresponding to aa28-105 from ustilago maydis P6 virus KP6 Killer Toxin, fused to His-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in Yeast. Molecular Weight: ~10.6kD Amino Acid Sequence: NNAFCAGFGLSCKWECWCTAHGTGNELRYATAAGCGDHLSKSYYDARAGHCLFSDDLRNQFYSHCSSLNNNMSCRSLS Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C.
