Sample Type: Honey, tissue (Chicken, Duck meat, porcine, prawn), eggs, etc. Intended Use: This BioAssay(TM) kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of Nitrofurantoin concentrations in milk, honey, tissue, liver, fish, shrimp, sausage casings. Sensitivity: 0.05ppb Range: 0.05ppb-4.05ppb Precision: Intra-assay: CV%<10% Inter-assay: CV%<10% Test Principle: This BioAssay(TM) employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this BioAssay(TM) kit has been pre-coated with Nitrofurantoin antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Nitrofurantoin specific antibody and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated anti-antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between pre-coated Nitrofurantoin and Nitrofurantoin in standards or samples with the Nitrofurantoin special antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of Nitrofurantoin in the standards or samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
