Product Description

Clenbuterol is a beta 2-adrenoreceptor agonist, clinically used for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and also used as bronchodilator in treatment of asthma acute attack. Its ability to increase the amount of lean meat with a higher muscle-to-fat ratio has led to its illegal used as feed additive to improve the animal of lean meat and accelerate animal growth in recent years. Due to food poisoning, the use of beta-adrenaline hormone is not permitted by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Peoples Republic of China in the feed and livestock production, Clenbuterol is listed as the first. This BioAssay(TM) kit is a detection product developed based on ELISA technology, with operation time as short as 50 minutes. Sample Type: Urine, feed, tissue (liver, porcine, bovine) Intended Use: This BioAssay(TM) kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of Clenbuterol concentrations in urine, feed, tissue (liver, porcine, bovine). The microtiter plate provided in this BioAssay(TM) kit has been pre-coated with Clenbuterol antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Clenbuterol specific antibody and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated anti-antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between pre-coated Clenbuterol and Clenbuterol in standards or samples with the Clenbuterol special antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of Clenbuterol in the standards or samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
