The Total Aflatoxins ELISA BioAssay(TM) Kit is a competitive ELISA intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of total Aflatoxins in feed, peanuts, rice, corn, edible oil and tissue. Detection Range: 0.02-1.62ppb Sensitivity: 0.02ppb Precision: Intra-assay: CV%<10% Inter-assay: CV%<10% Specificity: Crossreaction rate: Aflatoxin B1: 100%, Aflatoxin M1: 91.2%, Aflatoxin B2: 68.4, Aflatoxin G1: 4.7%, Aflatoxin G2: 2.7% Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Aflatoxin antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Aflatoxin specific antibody and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated anti-antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between pre-coated Aflatoxins and Aflatoxins in standards or samples with the Aflatoxins special antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of Aflatoxin in the standards or samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Once opened, the kit is stable up to 4 weeks at 4C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
