MAP2K1, is a member of the bispecific protein kinase family, which acts as a mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase. It is expressed extensively and brain levels are very low. It is located upstream of the MAP kinase and stimulates the enzymatic activity of MAP kinases on a variety of extra-and-cellular signals. This protein, an essential component of the MAP kinase signaling pathway, is involved in many cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcriptional regulation and development. Recombinant human MAP2K1, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-393 of human MAP2K1, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell.
