NRP1, also known as neuropilin-1 isoform a, is a type 1 transmembrane protein. This protein is a membrane-bound coreceptor to a tyrosine kinase receptor for both vascular endothelial growth factor and semaphorin family members. It is a VEGF165 and semaphorin receptor expressed by vascular endothelial cells (EC) and tumor cells. It is a co-receptor for VEGF receptor (VEGFR2) that enhances the binding of VEGF 165 to VEGFR2 and VEGF165-mediated chemotaxis. Also, it plays versatile roles in angiogenesis, axon guidance, cell survival, migration, and invasion. Recombinant human NRP1, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa22-856 of human NRP1, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell.
