PDGFRB, also known as platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta, is a member of the class III subfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK) that also includes the receptors for M-CSF, SCF and Flt3-ligand. It plays an essential role in blood vessel development by promoting proliferation, migration and recruitment of pericytes and smooth muscle cells to endothelial cells. It promotes rearrangement of the actin cytoskeleton and the formation of membrane ruffles. It phosphorylates PLCG1, PIK3R1, PTPN11, RASA1/GAP, CBL, SHC1 and NCK1. Recombinant human PDGFRB, fused to hIgG-His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
