Phl p 12 is a profilin allergen responsible for cross-reactivity in about 20% of pollen and food allergic patients (1994, Biochem Biophys Res Commun. 199:106-18). Recombinant protein corresponding to Timothy Grass Ph1 p12, fused to His-Tag, expressed in E. coli. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Molecular Weight: ~21kD Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
