2-(Aminomethyl)-1-ethylpyrrolidine is used as a reagent in the synthesis of S-Desethyl S-Methyl Amisulpride (D289595), a metabolite of Amisulpride (A633250) which is a neuroleptic agent, an antipsychotic, and a dopamine receptor antagonist. 2-(Aminomethyl)-1-ethylpyrrolidine is also used as a reagent in the synthesis of S-777469, an orally available CB2 agonist used as an antipruritic agent.
