Lanosterol is a sterol cholesterol precursor that maintains a stable concentration in the cortex of rats during aging however concentrations of Lanosterol increases in the liver during aging. Lanosterol is found in Mushroom Inonotus obliquus (I.obliquus) which is known to have anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties.
