Visnadine is used as a coumarin scaffold for anti-inflammatory drug development, melanin biosynthetic inhibitory activity, anticellulite efficacy in female patient with cellulite blemish affected by fat accumulation or new anticellulite treatment. Visnadine is a coumarin derivative that inhibits cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases, which are enzymes that break down the second messengers cyclic AMP and cyclic GMP. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in animal models.
