PPM1G, as known as protein phosphatase 1G, is a member of the PP2C family of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases that is negative regulators of cell stress response pathways. This enzyme localizes to the cytoplasm and is widely expressed, with most abundant expression detected in testis, skeletal muscle and heart. It is necessary for the dephosphorylation of pre-mRNA splicing factors, which is an important process for the formation of the functional spliceosome. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-546 from human PPM1G protein, fused to His-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~61.4kD (566aa) Enzyme Activity: Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
