Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to the middle region of human GALM
GALM is an enzyme that catalyzes the epimerization of hexose sugars such as glucose and galactose. It is expressed in the cytoplasm and has a preference for galactose. The protein may be required for normal galactose metabolism by maintaining the equilibrium of alpha and beta anomers of galactose. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
