| Aflatoxins are toxic metabolites of the fungi species, such as Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus. Aflatoxins have a strong carcinogenicity, commonly found in cereal, nuts, cotton seed, human blood and animal feed. Aflatoxin B1 is mainly natural Aflatoxins contamination. Aflatoxins are listed as Category I carcinogen with strong carcinogenicity by the International Agency for Research on Cancer in 1993. Contamination can occur in the field, during growing, harvest, or in processing, storage and transport, detect timely pollution sources is the best way to prevent aflatoxin contamination. Sample Type: Feedstuff, feed, grain, edible oil Intended Use: This BioAssay(TM) kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of Aflatoxin B1 concentrations in feedstuff, feed, grain, edible oil. Sensitivity: 0.05ug/kg Range: 0.05-2.5ug/kg Precision: Intra-assay: CV%<10% Inter-assay: CV%<10% Test Principle: This BioAssay(TM) employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Aflatoxin B1 antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Aflatoxin B1 specific antibody and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated anti-antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between pre-coated Aflatoxin B1 and Aflatoxin B1 in standards or samples with the Aflatoxin B1 special antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of Aflatoxin B1 in the standards or samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
