Pure Phaseolus vulgaris-L lectin (PHA-L) from Red kidney bean, Texas Red conjugated. Texas Red is a red-fluorescent dye and when bound to Phaseolus vulgaris Lectin (PHA-L) can show the binding pattern of this lectin in cellular imaging applications. There is very little overlap between the emission spectra of Texas Red and FITC making this combination ideal for dual-labeling experiments. Rhodamine dyes, such as Texas Red, are more photostable and less sensitive to pH change when compared to other dyes such as fluorescein. Source: Kidney bean Sugar Specificity: Complex N-Glycans Inhibitory Carbohydrate: Bovine Thyroglobulin, Acetic Acid Divalent Ions: Ca++, Mn++ Excitation: 595nm Emission: 615nm Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Texas Red conjugates are sensitive to light.
Purity: Highly Purified
Form: Supplied as a liquid in 10mM HEPES, 150mM NaCl, 0.1mM Ions, 0.02% sodium azide. Labeled with Texas Red.
