Cy3 can be used to visualize the binding pattern of Psophocarpus tetragonolobus Lectin (PTL/PTA II) in cellular imaging and flow cytometry. Cy3 is more photostable than many other fluorophores and can be seen with TRITC filter sets. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. CY3 conjugates are sensitive to light.
