Afiinity purified Tulip sp. Lectin (TL) lectin is a tetrameric protein composed of four identical subunits which are not held together by disulfide bonds. TL is not blood group specific, but it does agglutinate type O erythrocytes more readily than either A or B cells. It has a carbohydrate specificity of N-acetylgalactosamine, galactose and fucose, and elutes with fetuin or thyroglobulin. Source: Tulip Sugar Specificity: Complex N-Glycans, Mannose Inhibitory Carbohydrate: Mannose, Fucose Divalent Ions: None Required Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
