Constituent of the membrane attack complex (MAC) that plays a key role in the innate and adaptive immune response by forming pores in the plasma membrane of target cells. C8A inserts into the target membrane, but does not form pores by itself. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa31-584 from human Complement component C8 alpha chain, fused to 10X His-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~65.8kD Amino Acid Sequence: AATPAAVTCQLSNWSEWTDCFPCQDKKYRHRSLLQPNKFGGTICSGDIWDQASCSSSTTCVRQAQCGQDFQCKETGRCLKRHLVCNGDQDCLDGSDEDDCEDVRAIDEDCSQYEPIPGSQKAALGYNILTQEDAQSVYDASYYGGQCETVYNGEWRELRYDSTCERLYYGDDEKYFRKPYNFLKYHFEALADTGISSEFYDNANDLLSKVKKDKSDSFGVTIGIGPAGSPLLVGVGVSHSQDTSFLNELNKYNEKKFIFTRIFTKVQTAHFKMRKDDIMLDEGMLQSLMELPDQYNYGMYAKFINDYGTHYITSGSMGGIYEYILVIDKAKMESLGITSRDITTCFGGSLGIQYEDKINVGGGLSGDHCKKFGGGKTERARKAMAVEDIISRVRGGSSGWSGGLAQNRSTITYRSWGRSLKYNPVVIDFEMQPIHEVLRHTSLGPLEAKRQNLRRALDQYLMEFNACRCGPCFNNGVPILEGTSCRCQCRLGSLGAACEQTQTEGAKADGSWSCWSSWSVCRAGIQERRRECDNPAPQNGGASCPGRKVQTQAC Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C.
