Responsible for initiating activation of pancreatic proteolytic proenzymes (trypsin, chymotrypsin and carboxypeptidase A). It catalyzes the conversion of trypsinogen to trypsin which in turn activates other proenzymes including chymotrypsinogen, procarboxypeptidases, and proelastases. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa830-1069 from mouse Enteropeptidase, fused to 10X His-Tag at N-terminal and Myc-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in Mammalian cell.
