Attaches the virus to host cellular receptor, inducing clathrin-dependent endocytosis of the virion. In the endosome, the acidic pH induces conformational changes in the glycoprotein trimer, which trigger fusion between virus and endosomal membrane (By similarity). Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-423 from Vesicular stomatitis Indiana virus Glycoprotein G, fused to 10X His-Tag at N-terminal and Myc-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in E.coli.
