Adapter protein that plays a role in the assembling of signaling complexes, being a link between ABL kinases and actin cytoskeleton. Can form complex with ABL1 and CBL, thus promoting ubiquitination and degradation of ABL1. May play a role in the regulation of pancreatic cell adhesion, possibly by acting on WASF1 phosphorylation, enhancing phosphorylation by ABL1, as well as dephosphorylation by PTPN12. Isoform 6 increases water and sodium absorption in the intestine and gall-bladder. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa863-1100 from human Sorbin and SH3 domain-containing protein 2, fused to 6X His-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~33.1kD Amino Acid Sequence: KEKLPAKAVYDFKAQTSKELSFKKGDTVYILRKIDQNWYEGEHHGRVGIFPISYVEKLTPPEKAQPARPPPPAQPGEIGEAIAKYNFNADTNVELSLRKGDRVILLKRVDQNWYEGKIPGTNRQGIFPVSYVEVVKKNTKGAEDYPDPPIPHSYSSDRIHSLSSNKPQRPVFTHENIQGGGEPFQALYNYTPRNEDELELRESDVIDVMEKCDDGWFVGTSRRTKFFGTFPGNYVKRL Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 20mM Tris-HCl, 0.5M sodium chloride, pH 8.0, 6% trehalose. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml.
