Hancockiamide A is the major component of an unusual family of N-cinnamoylated piperazines from the Australian soil fungus Aspergillus hancockii. Hancockiamide A displays potent cytotoxic activity against murine myeloma NS-1 cells (MIC 1.6ug/mL) and is inactive against neonatal foreskin fibroblasts. The producing organism, A. hancockii, has the capacity to degrade cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, pectin, starch, chitin, cutin and fructan as nutrient sources. Source: Aspergillus hancockii CAS No: 2758265-34-6 Molecular Formula: C29H32N2O4 Molecular Weight: 472.6 Appearance: White solid Solubility: Methanol, DMSO. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with methanol or DMSO. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
