ADP-ribosylation factor 6, also known as ARF6, is a member of the ADP ribosylation factor family of GTP-binding proteins. It is localized to the plasma membrane, and regulates vesicular trafficking, remodelling of membrane lipids, and signaling pathways that lead to actin remodeling. Additionally, ARF6 play a central role in maintenance of organelle integrity, assembly of coat proteins and activation of phospholipase D. Source: Recombinant corresponding aa1-175 of human ARF6, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E. coli (NP_001654). This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
