Host cellular restriction factor that may have antiviral activities against exogenous and endogenous viruses, as well as retrotransposons. May also play a role in the epigenetic regulation of gene expression through the process of active DNA demethylation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 0.5-1.5ug/ml, observed in lysates of cell line DAUDI on ~22kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
