Application: ELISA
Control peptide for A3000-85 and A3000-85A, polyclonal antibodies to Aquaporin 11. Water is a critical component of all living cells. Interestingly, tissue membranes show a great degree of water permeability. Mammalian red cells, renal proximal tubules, and descending thin limb of Henle are extraordinarily permeable to water. Water crosses hydrophobic plasma membranes either by simple diffusion or through a facilitative transport mechanism mediated by special protein aquaporin. A new member of AQP family, AQP11, has been cloned (1). AQP11 (human, rat mouse: 271aa each). Source: Two synthetic peptides corresponding to mouse AQP11 (Protein Accession Q8BHH1 and human AQP11 (KLH). Molecular Weight: ~3kD Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Antibody Blocking. Not suitable for Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1ug/ml (detected with antibodies) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
