Product Description

Avidin/Biotin Blocking Kit BioAssay(TM) is designed to eliminate background caused by endogenous avidin or biotin-like substances. The kit contains 18ml each of avidin and biotin solutions. Kit Components: A4500-14A: Avidin Solution, 1x18ml. Supplied as a liquid, 0.05% sodium azide A4500-14B: Biotin Solution, 1x18ml. Supplied as a liquid, 0.05% sodium azide Protocol: These blocking steps should be performed before the primary antibody incubation step. 1. Apply 100ul (2 drops) of A4500-14A to the tissue. 2. Incubate for 10 minutes at RT. 3. Rinse extensively with PBS. 4. Apply 100ul (2 drops) of A4500-14B to the tissue. 5. Incubate for 10 minutes at RT. 6. Rinse extensively with PBS. The endogenous avidin/biotin activity is now blocked and the tissue section is ready for immunohistochemical staining. Storage and Stability: Store components at 4C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
