Human BAFF is a newly discovered novel ligand of the TNF family. BAFF plays an important role as costimulator of B cell proliferation and function. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human soluble BAFF, aa134-285, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~17kD Biological Activity: Measured by its ability to stimulate human B lymphocyte cells. The ED50 of this effect is between 5-10ng/ml Endotoxin: 1EU/ug (LAL) Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
