Human Katacalcin, also known as Calcitonin precursor peptide, is a member of the calcitonin gene family. Katacalcin is a calcium-lowering hormone that can significantly lower plasma calcium levels. Sequence (linear): Tyr-Asp-Met-Ser-Ser-Asp-Leu-Glu-Arg-Asp-His-Arg-Pro-His-Val-Ser-Met-Pro-Gln-Asn-Ala-Asn Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute to nominal volume (see reconstitution instructions for peptides) and store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
