Product Description

Carbenicillin (alpha-carboxybenzylpenicillin) is a synthetic penicillin derivative used as a selection agent for carbenicillin-resistant plasmids (amp). 6-[(Carboxyphenylacetyl)-amino]-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1-aza-biocclo{3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic Acid, Disodium Salt, a-Carboxybenzylpenicillin disodium salt Working Concentration: 30-50ug/ml for E. coli Purity: 90% Appearance: 100mg/ml, in ethanol/water, 0.2um sterile-filtered Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
