Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-TDSTVTVQKLNFE, from the internal region of human CPT2 (NP_000089.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear protein which is transported to the mitochondrial inner membrane. Together with carnitine palmitoyltransferase I, the encoded protein oxidizes long-chain fatty acids in the mitochondria. Defects in this gene are associated with mitochondrial long-chain fatty-acid (LCFA) oxidation disorders. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:4000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml ~70kD and 37kD in Human Liver lysates. These bands correspond to earlier findings with different antibodies from other commercial sources. This protein has a calculated MW of 73.8kD according to NP_000089.1. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
