CD49d (VLA-4) inhibits adhesion of rat lymphocytes to cytokine-activated endothelial cells. It blocks binding of rat lymphocytes to purified VCAM-1 and to the CS-1 peptide of fibronectin. VLA-4 is a leukocyte integrin which plays an important role in lymphocyte adhesion and activation. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): Overnight incubation with C2404-46G2 and acetone fixation for frozen sections is recommended. Not suitable for use with paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: SP2.0-Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice Positive Control for Immunohistochemistry: Human tonsil Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
