Human CD50 is an adhesion molecule that interacts with LFA-1 (CD18/CD11a) and provides a costimulatory signal for T cells (1, 2, 3) which is thought to be essential for initiation of immune responses. Functional Applications: Antibody blocks binding of CD11a (LFA-1) to CD50 (ICAM-3) Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: paraffin Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
