CD53 cell surface antigen is also known as Tetraspanin-25. CD53 is a 219 amino acid multi pass transmembrane glycoprotein of 32-42 kDa. CD53 is expressed by all leucocytes, but is absent from erythrocytes and platelets. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: Non-reducing conditions Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:25. Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
