Human CD54 (ICAM-1) mediates cell adhesion by binding to the integrins CD11a/CD18 (LFA-1) and to CD11b/CD18 (Mac-1). CD54 expression on resting peripheral blood leukocytes is weak but is upregulated on activated T and B lymphocytes and monocytes. Functional Application: Antibody inhibits CD54 binding to LFA-1. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
