MaxLight(TM)550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor(TM)546, 555, DyLight(TM)549 , Cy3(TM), TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm), Emission (575nm), Extinction Coefficient 150,000. PI-linked glycoprotein, MW 18-20kD found on all types of leukocytes including platelets. The antigen is expressed on many haemapoietic and non-haemapoietic cells. CD59 is expressed by erythrocytes and therefore staining in whole blood system requires a high concentration of antibody. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, FLISA, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Immunofluorescence and Immunoelectron Microscopy. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen and Paraffin): Antigen retrieval using heat treatement methods prior to staining of paraffin sections is required. Sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, is recommended for this procedure. Recommended positive control tissue: Tonsil Western Blot: Non-reducing. The recognized epitope is lost after reduction, therefore, non-reducing conditions are required. Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Recommended Negative Controls: I1904-83P1: Mouse IgG2a Negative Control Positive Control: Tonsil Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight(TM)550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
