CD61 is the integrin beta3 subunit, a 105kD transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and endothelial cells. Integrin beta3 associates with gpIIb (CD41) to form the CD41/CD61 complex that mediates platelet adhesion and aggregation. CD61 also associates with CD51 to form the alphaVbeta3 vitronectin receptor (1-5). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1ug/10e6 cells Immunohistochemistry: Frozen and paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
